Mild Steel Grating

Mild steel grating is carbon steel grating. It is most widely required as it is cheaper than stainless steel grating with high strength. There are plenty of types for flat bars of steel floor grating, such as 30*5, 32*5, 30*3, 45*5, 45*3, 50*6, 60*5, 100*5 and other types for your requirements, while 30/100, 40/100, 30/50, 41/100, 60/100... .are available for spacing. For cross bars, you can choose twisted bars or round bars or square bars. Besides of these ordinary types which is similar to aluminum grating, HY can also design other types, like diamond grating. We can manufacture steel grating as customers' design.

Regarding surface treatment, hot-dip galvanizing, paint or other anti-corrosive coating are available, of which hot-dip galvanizing is generally recommended as hot-dip galvanizing makes mild steel grating more anti-corrosive. GMS grating, also called galvanized steel grating is most commonly used. There are burrs on surface of mild steel grating after hot-dip galvanizing which have to be removed.

People usually use galvanized grating as drain grates or storm drain cover together with a steel frame. With steel bots or lifting keys, steel grate is easy to be lifted and maintained. HY designs a V-shape steel grating&frame, which is consisted with two gratings and frames, welding them together to form a V shape. This is a special product used for a specific project. And steel grate is also made to steel stair treads in other areas.
