Plastic drum lock ring is suitable for both steel and plastic barrel lock system, while bolt type locking ring is commonly used on metal oil drum lock. Size of barrel lid clamp, drum lock ring, and drum bolt are variable to fit containers of different volumes. Surface of this barrel ring clamp is galvanized to meet anti-corrosion requirements under strict storage conditions. Instead of standard locking clamp and locking ring, customized sizes are also available on request.

Drum locking rings vary in diameter and cross section design, these two characters are the key parameters to determine the sealing function. Drum clamps and drum bolts are the most common closing parts of drum locking rings.

Drum Bolt and Lugs

Drum bolts and lugs provide a stronger closing solution for the drum. Drum lugs need to be welded onto drum rings. Drum bolt goes through the lugs, and closes the whole ring by tightening the nuts.

How to prevent unwanted opening of a clamp type lock ring?

The drum clamps are designed to have a whole on its handle, which allows a T seal to go through. Once T seal is installed properly, it has to be broken before opening the drum ring.

The size of drum bolt is determined by the diameter of the whole on drum lugs. Drum bolt with bigger diameter could provide stronger sealing force after assembled.
