Application of Accelerator CBS

CBS rubber accelerator mainly used in manufacture of tires, rubber shoes, rubber tube, cable and other technical rubber goods.

CBS is exclusively used as vulcanization accelerator in rubber goods manufacture, such as tires, rubber shoes, rubber tube, cable and other technical rubber goods. Vulcanization transforms the rubber from the thermoplastic into the elastomeric state at temperatures between 150 and 200 °C. CBS is loaded to the rubber in concentrations of 0.5– 1% (ww) but it breaks down during the curing process. The most important products of rubber industry are automobile tires which take about 2/3 of the total rubber production. The remaining rubber is used for various types of “rubber goods”.
