Egg Carving, means engraving on egg shells to form pictures, which is the combination of both painting and carving. It uses the technique of carving to produce the effects of painting. Egg Carving which originated from egg-painting in 6th century AD comprises traditional techniques like basso-relievo and miniature carving. Egg Carving which requires no pigment of any depends solely on the original color of eggshell itself. Making Egg-Carving requires, first of all, to choose lustrous and ametabolic eggs.
