There are two unique advantages of PTFE coated Kevlar fabric than PTFE coated fiberglass fabrics: First Kevlar offers a much higher strength than fiberglass. Secondly, Kevlar offers much better resistance to hot environments where has water, especially steam which would normally reduce the life of a PTFE fiberglass conveyor belt.
