The impeller of billet compressor consists of hub, blade and cover. The cover of the submerged pump impeller and the rear cover are divided. The cover on the inlet side of the impeller is called the front cover, and the cover on the other side is called the rear cover. Closed Impeller of of Billet Turbo Compressor Wheel：

There are cover plates on both sides of the impeller, and there are 4-6 blades between the cover plates. The blade whose bending direction is opposite to the rotation direction of the pump is called backward curved blade. Generally, the blades of the impeller are all curved blades. This closed type impeller is highly efficient and most used, and is suitable for pumping clean liquids that do not contain solid particles and fibers. Closed impellers of billet compressor wheel are available in single and double suction versions. The double suction impeller of billet compressor wheel has a larger flow rate than the single suction impeller.

Open Impeller of Billet Compressor Wheel:

There are no cover plates on both sides of the impeller, and the blades are connected together through the shaft holes. The open impeller of the billet compressor wheel has a simple structure and is easy to manufacture, but has low efficiency and is suitable for conveying liquids containing more solid suspended matter or fibers.

Semi-open Impeller of Billet Compressor Wheel:

This closed type impeller has only a rear cover plate. It can pump liquids that are easy to precipitate or contain solid suspended solids. The efficiency is between the open impeller and the closed impeller.6
