Box Header

Box headers or shrouded headers are pin headers that feature a plastic guide box or shroud surrounding the pins. This plastic box helps to prevent damage to the pins when it has yet to be mated and provides for an easier mating process of the connectors. Box headers are offered with keying and polarized features that prevent mis-mating. They are available with a square notch cut out of the plastic box to make sure the compatible connector is mated in the correct way.
