ASTM B111 C71500 tube is a seamless Copper Nickel Alloy Tube of standard specifications for Water Desalting Plants. C70600 and C71500 alloys, however, are readily welded by the most common methods. Consumables of the alloy B111 C71500 materials should be used to weld both alloys.

SB 111 UNS C71500 ALLOY TUBE HIGHLIGHTS
Copper gains more strength and corrosion resistance when nickel is added to it. UNS SB 111 C71500 copper-nickel (cupronickel) alloy has medium-high strength and good creep resistance at high temperatures. The C71500 material is expensive in comparison with copper-aluminum alloys and other alloys with similar mechanical properties.
