Carbon steel is either referred to as Hot Rolled, steel that underwent a rolling thickness reduction step while hot, or Cold Rolled, where the steel is cold reduced to the specified thickness. Cold rolling elongates the grains of the steel in the direction of rolling, making the steel hard and brittle. Annealing in a reducing atmosphere recrystallizes the grains, giving the perforated sheet steel the ductility needed for its intended use.

Carbon steel perforated metal,also know as punching metal sheet, and easy to be weld,cut,form the desired shape. Because of this excellent characteristic,the perforated metal sheet is widely used in industrial,decoration,filter,equipment guards,screens,ventilation,etc.

Carbon steel perforated metal is made from the sheets or coils of mild steel,which are uniformly punched, have a variety of hole sizes,shapes and configuration. They have various of patterns by using the different molds.

Perforated carbon steel has no specified minimum quantity of any alloying element and contains only an incidental amount of any element other than carbon, silicon, manganese, copper, sulphur and phosphorus.

It is the most corrosive and least expensive of the commonly perforated metals.
