This must not make sweeping generalizations, we need detaily choose suitable thickness according drum size and specific requirements of the construction.
As we all known, the thickness of rubber sheet is general about 3mm 8mm 12mm and 15mm, the most commonly used is 12mm.
What is the features and type of 12mm rubber sheet ? ( refer to 12mm Ramimtech rubber sheet)
Features of 12mm thickness rubber sheet:
12mm rubber sheet is one new product for skid resistance on transmission drum .
The side of rubber sheet, which be applied on drum , is of CN bonding layer .with bonding action by using cold vulcanizing glue , it will be bonded with drum firmly and the
phenomen of tackless will not happen .
Type of 12mm rubber sheet:
12mm rubber sheet have two types according to the degree of wear resistance : one is wear resistance rubber sheet , the other one is diamond wear resistance rubber sheet.
wear resistance rubber sheet is with performance of good wear resistance and corrosion resistant,while diamond rubber sheet ,aparting from above performance,have diamond patter itself,
which can increase coefficient of sliding friction and reduce slippage on drum.
Comparing with wear resistance rubber sheet ,in terms of combination property, diamond rubber sheet have much more advantages.
12mm rubber sheet have other two types according to fireproof performance: one is flame-retardant , the other is Non flame-retardant.
Flame-retardant rubber sheet ,just as its name implies,is with flame-retardant performance.it can self-extinguish after away from fire. Speed of on-fire is limited.
Comparing with Non flame-retardant rubber sheet,flame-retardant rubber sheet is more suitable for Power plant, coal mine, especially strict construction environment,
such as the undergrond coal mine.
Ramimtech 12 mm thickness rubber sheet performance parameters:

Specific gravity : 1.10 gcm3
Shore A hardness : 60 + 5
Wear-resisting coefficient : 80 mm3 at 10N
Tensile strength : 450% MIN
Color : black
In general,12 mm wear resistance and flame-retardant diamond rubber sheet is the best one type which can satisfy all requirement .
