GOLD MILLING OPERATION
Milling begins when ore material from the mine is reduced in particle size by crushing and grinding. A primary crusher, such as a jaw crusher, is used to reduce ore into particles less than 150 mm in diameter. Generally, crushing continues using a cone crusher and an vibrating screen until the ore is less than 19 mm. Crushing in jaw crusher and cone crushers is a dry process, with water spray applied only to control dust.
From the cone crusher, ore is fed to the grinding circuit. Grinding in ball mill or rod mills further reduces the ore particle size, as needed. In some cases, ore and water are fed directly into an autogenous mill; or, a semiautogenous mill. Between each grinding unit operation, hydrocyclones are used to classify coarse and fine particles.

CRUSHING PLANT
First, crushing plant will be applied for reducing the gold materials into small particle size. Jaw crusher, impact crusher, or gyratory crushers are usually used for primary size reduction. Cone crusher will be used for fine crushing.
GRINDING MILL
Grinding in ball mill or rod mills further reduces the ore particle size, as needed. Between each grinding unit operation, hydrocyclones are used to classify coarse and fine particles. Coarse particles are returned to the mill for further size reduction. Other types of industrial grinding mill involved includes high pressure mill, raymond mill, vertical roller mill, ultrafine mill, trapezium mill etc.
